I am delighted to say that my Private Member’s Bill, Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles (Disabled Persons) Bill received Royal Assent last Thursday and is now an Act. I want to thank all the Charities, Local Government Authorities and Transport Organisations that helped me with this piece of legislation; I believe this is a step in the right direction.
