The Less Survivable Cancer Task Force held an excellent event in Parliament this week to highlight the work they are doing in raising awareness of the six less survivable cancers – cancer of the brain, lung, liver, stomach, pancreas and oesophagus. The first step in increasing survival is creating awareness around the signs and symptoms of these cancers, so they can be treated earlier and more quickly.
The task force is made up of six charities:
- Action Against Heartburn
- The Brain Tumour Charity
- British Liver Trust
- Guts UK
- Pancreatic Cancer UK
- Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
