Sewer flooding has been an issue in the Southam and Stockton areas for some time and I’m pleased that Severn Trent has scheduled sewerage upgrade works in order to reduce sewer flooding. A brand new foul water sewer will be constructed along Stockton Road and Southam Road, as well a section of surface water sewer on Stockton Road, which will increase the capacity of the network.
This work is due to begin on week commencing 24 July 2023 in fields adjacent to Southam Road, before moving onto Stockton Road. The work will take approximately three months in total to complete.
