It was a privilege to sponsor the launch of Leonard Cheshire’s important report on the accessibility of taxis and Private Hire Vehicles for people with disabilities alongside the CEO of Leonard Cheshire, Ruth Owen OBE and Transport Minister, Richard Holden MP. This report follows on from my Private Members Bill, which became the Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles (Disabled Persons Bill) 2022 and shows there is still work to be done to achieve genuine accessibility for all.
