Universal Credit is a payment to help with your living costs and it is paid monthly.
You may be able to get it if you’re on a low income, out of work or you cannot work.
The Government increased benefits in line with inflation. This means that benefits, such as Universal Credit, will rise by the September Consumer Prices Index (CPI) inflation at a rate of 10.1%. In April 2023, benefit cap levels increased at this rate from £20,000 to £22,020 for families nationally, and from £13,400 to £14,753 nationally.
