Good luck to Boryana Nankova, Captain of the GB Table Tennis Team at the 2023 World Transplant Games and Kenilworth and Southam constituent. It was a pleasure to meet Boryana last week, hear her own remarkable transplant story and to wish her well for the games, which take place in Perth, Australia between the 15th and 21st of April. Despite the backing the International Olympic Committee provides to the World Transplant Games, Team GB athletes are expected to cover the costs of attending the games themselves. Due to the preparation and distances involved for this year’s games, the expected cost to Boryana stands at approximately £5000.
