Jeremy Wright was out and about visiting local businesses in support of Small Business Saturday.
Accompanied by Ian O’Donnell, Chairman of the Coventry and Warwickshire Region of the Federation of Small Businesses, and Richard Hales, Chairman of the Kenilworth Chamber of Trade, Jeremy popped in to a number of different business covering such sectors as gift shops, clothing, travel, carpeting and the local butchers.
As well as promoting the initiative, it gave Jeremy and Ian the opportunity to listen to local business, and to hear about the success stories and the challenges they face.
“Small Business Saturday is a great idea to encourage consumers to look at and explore what is on their doorstep” said Jeremy.
“Last year’s campaign was estimated to have led to a 20% increase in footfall nationwide. It can only be a boost for the local economy.”
