I attended the opening event for the B4100 Gaydon Dual Carriageway – also known as the M40 Junction 12 improvements. The British Motor Museum in Gaydon was the perfect venue to celebrate this transport achievement.
Peter Butlin, Warwickshire County Councillor Portfolio Holder for Transport and Highways, opened the event and I was pleased to have an opportunity to express my delight at the progress of the scheme and thank those who have brought it to fruition. Peter Richings of JLR expressed his sincere thanks to the people of Warwickshire who have been patient and accommodating as the scheme has progressed.
A large group of attendees then took a walk to the site itself. It was an opportunity to see the road up close and reflect upon how far this project has come since I put the spade in the ground in December 2014.
