Kenilworth and Southam MP Jeremy Wright has launched a competition for school children to design his official Christmas card for 2015.
The competition, which Jeremy hopes to repeat each year, is open to all children attending primary schools in his constituency.
The local MP's official Christmas card for 2015 will be professionally printed and will be sent out to local community organisations and businesses across Jeremy’s constituency as well as politicians in Westminster including Prime Minister David Cameron.
Jeremy has written to every local primary school to ask them to support the competition by collating children’s entries. Local children who wish to enter can either hand in their entry at their school, or send it directly to his constituency office at Jubilee House, Smalley Place, Kenilworth, CV8 1QG.
Jeremy Wright MP said, "This is a real community project, giving local children the opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity. I hope that lots of schools and children take up the challenge and get involved.
“The winner of the competition will see their design feature on the front of my Christmas card and I will also present them with an art set and a family ticket for four to see Jack and the Beanstalk, which has been kindly donated by the Spa Centre, Leamington.”
Two runners-up will each receive an art set and every pupil who enters the completion will receive a certificate of thanks from Jeremy Wright, along with a Jack and the Beanstalk bookmark.
Entry is open to any child between the ages of 4 and 11, living in Jeremy Wright’s constituency of Kenilworth and Southam. Entry forms can be obtained from their local school or downloaded by Clicking here
Completed entries should be returned to Jeremy Wright’s constituency office at Jubilee House, Smalley Place, Kenilworth, CV8 1QG.
The deadline for entries is 5.00pm on Thursday 19 November 2015.
